Small image helps to zoom in on a target while retaining the rest of the field of view visible. This can be handy in hunting and surveillance situations it allows greater identification in the magnified portion of the screen without losing track of anything else that might happen into the FOV. This is also handy in emergency night boating situations using the magnified PIP to ID objects while using the lower screens wide FOV to navigate with.

Super long detect and Id range

The Axion is sure to please with a detect range up to 1850 yards on the XM38 model. This will also allow superior ID range and a broad array of uses. From tracking downed game, getting that boat home after an evening breakdown, security and surveillance around your property, finding that lost dog or child, maybe just curiously seeing the world in a whole new way.

Our take

The Pulsar Axion is a game changer in the world of thermal scanners. The new monocular unit breaks the mold with innovation never seen before all in one package at such an outstanding value. This unit is sure to help bring thermal from the front line of serious to casual and convenient use. Unlike units that have come before with either mediocre performance, large size, poor design, inefficient power systems, or high price. The Axion jumps all these hurdles and does so in the most attractive package we have ever seen.
